Eight Is Enough Meme

I've been tagged by tiff! These are the rules:

  1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

  2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

  3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

  4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

One of the drawbacks of having a blog for as long as I have, is I've forgotten which little factoids I’ve already mentioned here. Forgive me if I repeat myself.

  1. I set sandwiches upside down when I'm eating. It's hard to explain – easier to understand if you actually see me do it. Actually, that's not true. It's hard to understand even if you see me do it. I think I've fooled myself into believing that this odd technique prevents the sandwich/burger innards from sliding out.

  2. I'm right-handed. That's not particularly interesting, but it is pretty random.

  3. When I got rejected by NYU for undergrad, I burned the rejection letter to ashes. And then flushed them down the toilet. Dramatic much?

  4. I used to keep a Trapper Keeper full of all my fiction writing, which I started to get "serious" about when I was in the sixth or seventh grade. I later tossed it all in a fit of (well-deserved) embarrassment. Now that I see how popular TLF is, though, part of me regrets that decision. That stuff was comedy gold, I tell you!

  5. I have OCD. I've had it all my life, but it started to get really bad the day I turned 13 (literally) and I wasn't formally diagnosed until a few years ago. I manage with a combination of medications and specialized therapy. Of course prescription drugs aren't always the answer, but for some people they can work absolute miracles. So Tom Cruise and his ilk can bite me.

  6. My favorite color was red when I was a kid. Now it's blue. That's two facts, actually.

  7. Things I used to want to be "when I grew up": architect (like Mike Brady), ad executive (like Darrin Stephens), best-selling author, veterinarian, marine biologist.

  8. I recently bought a scale and weighed myself, and ... oh my DAMN. So I'm trying to lose weight. The "trying" seems to consist mainly of a lot of complaining about the size of my thighs, though, so I don't think it's going so well.
