2. I'm a Capricorn.

3. I skipped the first grade. And I was in the mentally gifted program. That's how smart I am; I can start a sentence with "and."

4. I'm incredibly clumsy.

5. But I've never broken a bone.

6. I'm very nearsighted. I've worn glasses since I was eight years old.

7. I'm sure straining to read by night light didn't help.

8. I flirted briefly with contacts, but I don't like putting things in my eye.

9. I like to read and write.

10. I'd love to get paid for it.

11. I've never been out of the country.

12. I've never been on a plane.

13. I'm afraid of heights.

14. Places I want to visit include London and Rome.

15. I'm going to have to do something about that acrophobia.

16. I like to learn new words.

17. I like to learn, period. I am a Discovery Channel devotee.

18. I'm not above watching trashy TV.

19. I wish I could afford a TiVo.

20. My taste in music is fairly eclectic.

21. I don't like rap or metal.

22. I believe there's an exception to every rule.

23. I don't like Christmas music.

24. I listen to music with the volume down low. It drives people crazy.

25. I've only been to two concerts: Alanis Morissette and Fiona Apple.

26. Favorite artist: possibly Dave Matthews Band.

27. Favorite play: Much Ado About Nothing.

28. Favorite movie: still working on it.

29. Favorite book: Pride and Prejudice.

30. I think One Hundred Years of Solitude is as close to perfection as you can get.

31. I've only cried at the movies once, during Titanic. Shut up.

32. I almost cried during LOTR: Return of the King. That doesn't count.

33. I don't dance.

34. I don't like sports. I never got very good grades in gym class.

35. I wish I were in better shape.

36. My favorite season is fall.

37. I hate hot weather. I sweat far too easily.

38. I can't eat spicy food.

39. I hate olives. The taste of them literally sends a shiver down my spine.

40. I'm terrible at math. I still count on my fingers. Stop laughing.

41. I have four piercings: one in my right ear, two in my left, and one in my left eyebrow.

42. I have one tattoo: a Superman shield on the small of my back.

43. I've only been drunk once, and to that experience I say: meh.

44. I can't sleep naked.

45. I didn't get my driver's license until I was eighteen.

46. I hate feet. Don't look at my feet. Don't touch my feet. And I damn sure don't want to look at or touch yours.

47. I have a black thumb.

48. I like to peruse catalogs of things I can't possibly afford.

49. I wasn't raised in any particular religion.

50. I suppose I'm agnostic. I believe in the existence of something, even if I don't know what that something is.

51. I am a complete wuss when it comes to scary stuff.
52. I've only been trick-or-treating once.

53. I've never been "on a diet."

54. I had a posse of imaginary friends when I was little.

55. I refuse to debate religion or politics. Discuss, yes. Debate? No. No good can come of that.

55. I think drinking milk, straight, is disgusting.

56. I am not a girly girl. I'll wear a skirt, but don't expect me to feel comfortable in it.

57. I like comic books, even though I didn't start reading them until I was thirteen.

58. I've been known to get woozy at the sight of blood.

59. My favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry.

60. I can't eat chocolate-flavored food. Milk chocolate, yes. But no chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate candy ... you get the idea.

61. I don't like my nose.

62. I do, however, have rather nice hands.

63. I used to bite my nails. I haven't done that in years.

64. I'm average height, but high-waisted. It's hard to find pants that fit.

65. I look younger than I really am. I'm sure I'll appreciate it someday.

66. I've always voted Democrat.

67. I don't look pretty in pink.

68. I prefer to sleep with a nightlight on.

69. I love browsing for home improvement and office supplies.

70. I've never been very comfortable around people my own age.

71. I have allergies year-round. Stupid allergies.

72. When I was little, I used to get "by accident" and "on purpose" mixed up.

73. I don't know how to swim.

74. I don't like being the center of attention.

75. I wish I could sing.

76. I don't like writing with pencils or extra-fine tip pens.

77. I would love to invent something clever and useful.
78. I hated high school. Damn, but that was a waste of my time.

79. I'm not a born leader.

80. That's the way I like it.

81. I work well with others.

82. I work better alone.

83. I've never been in a fistfight.

84. I have a terrible short-term memory.

85. Hell, I have a terrible memory, period.

86. I've only been in love once; I guess it just took. ;)

87. I think creativity is sexy; I think talent is sexier.

88. I'm not sure if I'll ever be ready to be someone's mother.

89. I'm a cat person by default.

90. I'm not sure if I believe in ghosts.

91. I do believe that not everything can be explained.
92. I hope to grow old gracefully.

93. I'm not ruling out cosmetic surgery.

94. I'm very quiet until you get to know me.

95. And then I won't shut up.

96. I like it when people think I'm funny.

97. I've only had surgery once, for a chelazion when I was seven or eight. I forget which.

98. I'm still not sure what all this stuff on my computer does.

99. I love making lists.

100. I can't believe I made it to 100.
