And we're back. It's stream-of-consciousness style, once again.
- What's that scrap of paper? A more pressing question might be, what the hell's going on, but I've learned to go with the flow sometimes when it comes to Lost.
- Hee, Hurley didn't realize he could stand up. That's such a cliche gag, but it's so very Hurley that I have to laugh.
- Yay, so they do get back to the island. (Some of them, anyway.) That's good to know. I can't believe I'm rooting for the very opposite of what I used to hope would happen on this show.
- Funniest exchange of the episode:
Jack (about Ben): Is he telling the truth?
Eloise: ... Probably not. - So ... the island is always moving through space, but not necessarily through time? (I'm trying hard to keep up?) So did Flight 815 have the shittiest luck ever or what?
- Run, Desmond, RUN! I love him, but I'm okay with not seeing him again if it means he stays clear of this insanity.
- And we have the second mention of Ajira Airlines. Are Ajira and Oceanic somehow complicit in what's going on? Are they connected to Dharma? Fronts for Dharma? Even if it's true, why do they need to use such extreme methods of getting people onto the island? Don't forget, they were using a submarine at one point.
- Sidebar: these Windows ads with the little kids make me feel retarded. "I'm a PC, and I think I just broke something."
- Dude. It never occurred to me that Locke committed suicide, although it does make perfect sense. He was told he had to die in order for the island to be fixed, so of course he'd want to make sure it happened.
- Now Jack has to become the "man of faith." Nice. I like what Ben tells Jack: "We're all convinced sooner or later." I don't often quote the show for purposes of extrospection, but this seems especially important.
- Um, is it just me, or does Jack's grandfather look roughly the same age as his father did? Apparently a life of boozing and womanizing kicked Christian Shepherd's ass.
- WTF happened to Aaron? Theories? I mean, other than the fact that they didn't want a three-year-old actor running around. I don't especially care if we ever see the kid again, I just want to know what the mystery is.
- WTF happened to Ben? Did Sayid get to him? Some of the Dharma people, maybe? What?
- I'm wondering what they'll have Terry O'Quinn doing from now on. I can't imagine Lost without him.
- Where in the sam hill is Ji Yeon? They're seriously doing this without her? That sucks!
- Sidebar: the woman escorting Sayid played Eva Marquez on the very cool, sadly cancelled New Amsterdam.
- Locke's letter found its way back to Jack! Spooky.
- Wow, Kate, way to be a stank bitch to Jack. I don't think he was asking you to marry him, sweetheart.
- Hey, I didn't recognize Frank looking all clean-shaven. I love how laid-back he is about not making it to Guam. So how are they planning to get Flight 315 out of the air?
- Shit, I wanted to know what the letter said, but not if it was gonna make me want to cry.
- There was a flash, right? I'm pretty sure that didn't happen the first time around.
- Um, why is Jin wearing Dharma coveralls?
Next week: THERE'S Terry O'Quinn! He's like Jesus or something.
